Theatres and Auditoria

AVAT has installed auditoriums/Lecture Theatres in a wide range of schools, colleges, and universities along with company and government establishments.

The need for high quality and comprehensive audiovisual facilities within the auditorium environment is of paramount importance. Larger screen presentation of video and data information often with multiple images being displayed simultaneously for comparative assessment is a key requirement.

Repeat monitors can be utilised to relay information to the back of the room ensuring the whole audience can view with remote sites anywhere in the world.

Voice enhancement will incorporate wired microphones installed within lecterns, wireless microphones allowing the presenter the freedom to move around the room, hand held microphones that can be passed among the audience for Q & A sessions and plug in positions within the floor enabling wired microphones to be set up on the top table when required. Additional microphones may be installed at ceiling level above the audience to support video and conferencing applications.

High quality programme sound will be reproduced using a range of loudspeakers. Digital sound processing allows the audio systems to be fine tuned according to the room's unique acoustics and specific applications. It is essential that this high level of audiovisual sophistication must remain user friendly for the presenter or technician. System control will usually comprise of a lectern mounted touch screen control panel with video and data preview facilities and a more comprehensive control panel located within adjoining control room.

Within the control room a console will incorporate one or more touch screens enabling room configurations to be set, audio visual media to be selected and routed to the various displays and control of architectural lighting.
