TUI Training Rooms
When Europe’s leading travel group, TUI, were looking to refresh their main Head Quarters in Wigmore House Luton, they called us in to to design, supply and integrate the audiovisual facilities throughout the TUI HQ including a fully integrated training room suite.
The challenge with the training rooms was that they were each partitioned with removable walls to make three single training rooms, or combinations of 2 or 3 further rooms for larger classes.
We not only had to ensure that each room could work independently but that any presentation equipment could work in a combined manner. In the two larger spaces, we installed discreet NEC projection and In-ceiling screens. In addition, voice enhancement with Sennheiser wireless microphones and JBL ceiling speakers were installed and designed as not to bleed into any adjacent room.
By centralising all of the AV equipment apart from the dedicated Crestron control system, the users are left with a simple graphic icon that drops the screen and projector at the touch of a button. They can also find selected content and adjust the volume levels.
When the space is opened up as a larger training space, one of the Crestron Touch Panels automatically becomes the master control for the room giving the trainer confidence in be able to be present without fear of the AV failing.
The Training rooms were always going to be a challenging environment due to low ceilings and integral columns. AVAT with this in mind worked with our training team and architect in ensuring the space could achieve the maximum attention from the staff and deliver the necessary message without compromise. This has been fantastically achieved with not just the attention to the display’s but also the audio quality is outstanding and feedback from the users is even with the design demand it is so much more simplistic to use than any other systems they have used previously. To me that is paramount.
